We went to the Vira Elks Club and had a party. Did some eating and some dancing.

On this day we met at the VET center to hold our annual eggnog party and in addition have a white elephant sale. Look out for the junk.

November 22nd2024

On this day we met at the Island Bar and Grill on the Banana river side of Merritt island. We were given a little test on what we knew about the island.

 

They really like their island.

September 20th2024

On this day we met at Grills Riverside for lunch. About 24 came and some came by boat. Good food good friends.

September 14th2024

On this day we presented the ABC class. We did not get many students but they all passed. Thank you Mike for the donuts.

On this day we held our annual Italian food feast. 45 member came to see how much they could consume.

Pier 220 Meeting

On Saturday August 24th, 30 of our members and one boat met at Pier 220 for lunch. But no one took any photos. They had a good time and more members that expected showed up. Be sure you let us know you are coming to the events.

Keep Brevard Beautiful

A team of CBSPS members, in support of Keep Brevard Beautiful, picked up trash along Sykes Creek Blvd  and the Veterans Memorial Center on August 22nd. Go team.

August 6th2024

On this day we held out monthly meeting a the VET center. We had 30 members attend. After some refreshments we had a speaker, Jessy Wayles. She the Community Engagement Coordinator for the Indian River Lagoon and works with the EPA to monitor the health of the lagoon. She brought us up to date.

July 19th2024

On this day more than 30 of our members and 2 boats came to Ryan's Pizza & Pub in Cocoa Village. The boats docked at Lee Wenner Park. We had a good meal and a good time.

July 2nd2024

On this day 36 of our members and 3 guests came to the VMC for our monthly meeting. We had some social time and then Matt Culver gave us an update on what is going on with cleanup of other things in the rivers. Afterwords we had our business meeting.

June 22nd2024

On this day 19 of our members and guests went to the Marker 99 Restaurant & Lounge. We had lunch and got some prizes.

On this day 29 of our members were attacked by a lot of pizzas. We fought back and defeated them. Well we consumed them actually.

On this day a bunch of out members went to the Marker 24 restaurant and had a good time.

March 16 2024

We went to the Veterans Memorial park Pavilion, and had a picnic and played some games. We had 41 members and guests. Had some problems getting in but we prevailed

March 2, 2024

On this day our members Rick and Sandy and 'our new member Chris' presented the ABC class at the cape Canaveral yact club. We had 11 students and they all passed. Than you Jan for the photos.

March 5, 2024

On this day 46 members went to the VET center to have a chili cook off. It was a hot time. We were so busy eating we did not get many photos.

On this day we met at the Twisted Birch Restaurant to finish the COW by bringing in the new officers. We had 42 members and guests.

February 6, 2024

On this day 45 members and 3 guests went to the VET center to start the change of watch for this year. We had a speaker Sheriff Wayne Ivey. He brough a frend as well. After the speaker we released the old bridge and will wait until the 17 to put in the new.

On this day 19 members and 2 guests went to The Island Bar a Grill for lunch. We were to have some boats but the weather was bad so we came by car. It was a carring event not a boating event

On December 8 2023, 52 members and guests met at Cocoa Village Elks Club for dinner and dancing.

December 5 2023

On December 5 2023, 38 of our members and 6 guests met at the Vet Center for an eggnog party. We collected gifts for tots and held a crazy shirt contest in addition to our usual things.

November 18, 2023

On this day some of our members went to Grills Riverside. They could come by car or boat but they had to eat. The eat part worked best.

 

 

 

 

Keep Brevard Beautiful

A team of CBSPS members, in support of Keep Brevard Beautiful, picked up trash along Sykes Creek Blvd  and the Veterans Memorial Center before Veterans Day. October 3 2023 General Meeting with speaker

On this day we had a general meeting with speaker Zak Marchetti from the Brevard Zoo. He gave us the history of the zoo and talked of the plans for the aquarium at the Port

We also gave (kind of) a sexton to Denis Peterson to return to the Jack Grames family.

September 23 2023 Cruse to Sunset Grills

On this day 29 members and 5 boats crused to Sunset Grill for lunch. The water was calm but the wind made docking a little difficult. Had a good time.

September 5 2023 Italian Night

On this night 44 members and 5 guests got together to share some Italian food. We consumed a lot of food. We also looked at some old photo books and had an auction for some old stuff.

On August 19 John Small lead a group of 5 boats and 10 of our members out onto the spoil island near marker 81-82. Looks like they are having a good time.

August 1, 2023 Meeting

Our August meeting speaker was Wayne Justice from Port Canaveral. He gave us and update on the history of the port and up coming changes. This meeting was attended by our members and many others.

July 22 2023 Car Rally

Rick Wuestenfeld set up a Car Rally on Merritt island and Cocoa Beach. Members and friends traveled around following a code to various restaurants in Merritt Island and Cocoa beach. At the locations they had some snacks and collected cards for the contest. We then met at Gators at the port to see who did the best.

June 24, 2023

On June 24 2023 some boats and a bunch of our members came by car to CAPT Hirams. They had a party in a room and some dinner.

May 20 2023 Boat to Samson Island

On May 20 2023 the squadron had 2 boats and 7 members at Somsons Island. Looks like they had a good time.

May 2 2023 Meeting

On May 2 2023 the squadron went from whales to clams and oysters. Hope Lenoard gave a presentation on the efforts in the lagoon to reestablish the shell populations to help filter out the water in the lagoon.

April 4 2023 Meeting

On April 4 2023 the squadron had a whale of a meeting. First Joel Cohen gave a program on 'The Right Whale Program.' The we started our meeting and passed out some awards and held our regular meeting.

(It was the Right Whale because it had the most fat to make oil for the lamps used in the 18th century.)

Pop Tabs

All the pop tabs that we collect go to a good use. Here is Robin delivering 14.5 lbs of pop tabs to Maria Huff at Imperial Estates Elementary School. They will be used by Ronald McDonald House of Central Florida.

March 17-18 2023 D23 Change of watch

On March 17-18, 2023; D23 held its Change of Watch ceremony at the Holiday Inn at Tittusville. They did a little Irsh on Friday and Saturday held the meeting and the Change of Watch. Our club got a couple of awards and Elmer received Life Member certificate.

March 11, 2023 Meet the Bridge Picnic

On March 11, 2023 we met with 38 of our members for a introduction of the new bridge at a picnic. Some of our members did a little kayaking before the picnic.

On February 11, 2023 the squadron met at the Veterans center for our Change of watch. D/Lt/C Jeff Wise, JN was the District officer for the change. We had lunch and passed out awards for the past year.

February 7, 2023 Meeting:Getting ready for the Change of Watch

On January 7, 2023 we had our normal meeting. But this one is different. Our speaker Gerard Meunier gave out information on possible classes for the coming year. But at the end of the meeting the bridge was dismissed to get ready for the COW.

On January 21, 2023 about 30 of our members went to Grills for lunch. Most came by cars but we had two boats. There we so many of us that we had to divide into two tables.

January 3, 2023 Meeting

On January 3, 2023 we held our regular meeting. The speaker was Dan Schaller who talked about sea turtle preservation. (I put a link to their web site on ours, look on the Links page) We had some snack and the nominated officers for next year were announced.
